Home away from home
Majority of my friends know that Sacramento is my home away from home. Since all my family reside here, I’m always in and out of this city. This weekend was much needed though. In my previous blog, I also said that, but for some reason, I haven’t had a weekend like this well, ever. There’s just a point in time where you just want to be yourself around the people that feel most comfortable with, and this weekend was definitely it. I didn’t plan much for my trip this weekend, but last minute, my ‘cousin’, Jordan said he’d take me out since we never get to hang out when Im up here. And for the first time ever, I got to dress up and look cute and paint a town that I’ve never partied before all the red I wanted. We went to a club called Phaloras? This club is well known for being occupied with Hmongs, but I wasn’t sure if that was something to be worrying about. Turns out to be one of the most crackin clubs I’ve ever been to since I turned 21. There was a great up-beat crowd and everyone was super friendly. The music was on point, from the top 40’s to house/trance, I enjoyed it all. Shots and beers, and getting hooked up by the bartenders, the advantages of being a girl. I know how to use my charm after all, Jordan! But last night consisted of dancing, dancing and more dancing.
Thank you Jordan for taking me out this weekend, and letting me meet your awesome friends. They have truly made an impression to keep. You guys were an awesome group of hosts.
